Ecolab is searching for driven and ambitious Engineering Project Managers for future opportunities within our F&B division in IL or MN.

Responsible for managing a sales project portfolio from conception to completion, ensuring customers goals and needs are met.  The Project Manager is responsible for the execution of assigned project tasks, which can include the following:  

Qualify sales leads and prepare quotations that cover all Ecolab Food and Beverage Engineering equipment and services to include: CIP Circulation Systems, CIP Controllers, High & Boosted Pressure Systems, Central Foam Systems and Controls, Bulk Systems and Controls, Central Sanitize Systems and Controls, HTST Controls, Product Recovery Systems, and spray devices. 
After receiving the order they are responsible to interface with all Ecolab support groups as required. The engineering design must be completed, components ordered and systems built and shipped to customer. They must make sure the customer installs the equipment correctly and oversees the start-up of the equipment. After start-up is completed the project manager closes out the project by getting all billings completed.

The Project Manager also has the responsibility to provide support and mentoring of fellow Project Managers and Project Engineers.  EXTENSIVE TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE US IS REQUIRED

Main Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to corporate or strategic account sales teams as required to establish, or strengthen the customer relationship and provide differentiated value. 

Qualify the sales leads to discover customers need and document the information needed to define the total scope of the project 

Develop & present customer quotations & gain acceptance of the design concept 

Manage sales budget to meet Engineering team goals 

Perform equipment commissioning and plant operator training 

Trouble-shoot customer problems 

Coordinate meetings and facility visits with customers 

Work closely with all internal engineering teams as well as field sales and CAM teams 

Travel as necessary for customer meetings, scoping visits, and project execution 

Control travel expenses within budget 

Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 pounds 
Ladder work, <4 feet off ground 
Processing plant environment (wet slippery floors, noisy, hot or cold, etc) 
Possible exposure to any Ecolab sanitation products used in customer facility

Basic Qualifications:
5 years experience in a food, beverage or dairy processing/manufacturing environment 
Field experience in industrial process control 
Familiarity with electrical schematics and process flow diagram

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in accepted engineering discipline 
Training facilitator experience 
PLC and AutoCad experience preferred 
Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
