System Designer

The Process Controls Engineer reports to the Engineering Group Manager within the F&B Engineering Design Services Team. Experienced PLC/HMI programmer with excellent communication skills and knowledge of process control systems related to the Food & Beverage industry. Individual must be able to perform independently or as a member of a project team. This position will be responsible for the electrical design, programming and start-up of CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems, facility cleaning equipment and chemical dispensing & application equipment, and process design. The designer will also be required to provide accurate and timely customer service assistance on previously installed systems. This position will be responsible to perform all duties in a safe and professional manner, both in the office and at customer locations (which will include manufacturing environments).

Main Responsibilities
Design, Development, Testing (60%)
Develop PLC programs and HMI with or without existing templates.
Create site specific electrical drawings.
Develop PLC/HMI related equipment documentation.
Perform equipment check-out.
Interface with Sales and Project Management teams.
Coordinate project activities with other Ecolab associates, outside vendors/contractors and customers.
Produce clear and timely documentation including trip reports and project updates.
Customer Support (25%)
Support of existing on site equipment. Includes phone and remote technical assistance/troubleshooting for installed systems.
Start-up and customer training.
Perform site surveys to identify and document existing customer equipment and processes.
Innovation (15%)
Assist with development of new offerings and updates of existing offerings.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Experience in industrial process control
Experience in Rockwell (Allen Bradley) PLC/HMI programming
Familiarity with electrical schematics and process flow diagrams
Ability to travel roughly 25%

Control panel design experience
AutoCad experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
