Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for the creation of sales estimations for make complete gears using customer supplied prints and specifications.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist in the development of relationships with current and new vendors Production quoting for blanks, grinding, milling, drilling, hobbing, shaper cutting, and gear grinding Key contact to customers Identify and establish target pricing levels for standard materials Communicate quote status to customers as needed Assist in pricing negotiations and pricing structures for quote generation when needed Identify and establish target pricing levels for standard materials Critically analyze customer quote requests (usage, batch size, ect.
) Establish timely, creative, and effective solutions to maintain a positive relationship with suppliers, customers Determine sequence of operations that need to be quoted Comply with ITAR regulations Non-Essential Job Functions:
Train others as needed Work with office personnel on projects as needed Conserves energy and organizational resources when possibleSkills/Requirements:
Experience in and/or knowledge of secondary machining operations and basic manufacturing operations including heat treat, turning, milling, drilling, and other operations.
Gear experience and/or knowledge a plus, not required Microsoft programs proficiency, particularly in Excel for database creation and management Attention to detail Maintain confidentiality Physical Demands:
Ability to lift/carry Less than 10 pounds (upward pulling)Stooping Not Required (bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles) Reaching Occasionally (extending hands and arms in any direction including upward and downward)Walking Occasionally (with normal breaks) Sitting Frequently(with normal breaks) Standing Occasionally (with normal breaks) Environmental Conditions:
Noise intensity level exposed with this job Moderate
